Professor Nadira Delhem is a French immunologist and Full Professor of Cellular Biology at the University of Lille. She currently serves as Director of INSERM U1189 (ONCOTHAI – Laser Therapy and Immunotherapy for Oncology), where she leads translational research programs at the interface of immunology, virology, and cancer therapy. She is also the director of the translational research at the Cancer Research Center of Lille since january 2026. After completing her PhD in Immunology at the Université des Sciences et Technologies de Lille in 1998, she pursued postdoctoral training in viral oncology and molecular virology, including a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (USA). Her research focuses on tumor immunoregulation, virus-induced cancers, regulatory T cells, extracellular vesicles, and the development of innovative photodynamic therapy (PDT)-based immunotherapies.Professor Delhem has authored numerous high-impact publications in leading international journals and holds several patents, including therapeutic anti-Galectin-9 antibodies. She is co-founder of the biotech start-up Immune Insight and has led multiple national and international translational research projects and clinical trials in oncology. Deeply involved in academic leadership, she has directed research teams for over 15 years, supervises doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, and plays an active role in national scientific evaluation committees. Her work contributes to the development of next-generation cancer immunotherapies integrating light-based technologies and immune modulation.
